Who we are
A Racibórz foundation that turns goodwill into concrete help
Fundacja GH Hope & Help was founded in Racibórz to do one thing well: notice people who need support and act quickly, wisely and with heart. We are based at Janusza Korczaka 33, 47-400 Racibórz, Poland — named after Janusz Korczak, the great defender of children's dignity — and that address says a lot about who we are. Children come first here, but our help reaches whole families, sports clubs, volunteer firefighters, schools and local institutions across Silesia.
We are a small team with deep local roots. We know the coaches, teachers, parish volunteers and club presidents by name. That closeness lets us do what large charities often cannot: react in days, not months, buy exactly what is missing, show up in person, and stay until the matter is finished — whether it is a junior football tournament, Christmas parcels for children, equipment for young karate athletes, or emergency aid for Ukrainian families arriving in Poland.
Families in need
Direct, discreet help for families facing illness, disability and sudden hardship — food, essentials, medical support and Christmas aid, delivered close to home and without bureaucracy.
Local community
Long-term partnerships with volunteer fire brigades, sports clubs and cultural institutions — from the 140th anniversary of the fire brigade to equestrian Hubertus traditions that keep Silesian heritage alive.
What we do
Practical help in five areas, all year round
We do not limit ourselves to one season or one cause. Our work follows the real rhythm of community life in Racibórz: sport in spring and autumn, summer camps and equestrian events, St. Nicholas Day and Christmas in winter, and emergency aid whenever it is needed.
Youth sport
Junior football tournaments including the St. Nicholas Day training tournament and the Hubert Kostka Tournament, plus year-round support for young karate athletes from the Racibórz Kyokushin Karate Club.
Christmas & St. Nicholas aid
Our Christmas 2021 action and every December since: parcels, gifts and festive meetings for children and families who need warmth most. No child in our care is forgotten at Christmas.
Aid for Ukrainian families
Since 2022 we have provided shelter essentials, food, clothing and integration support for Ukrainian mothers and children finding refuge in the Racibórz region.
Equestrian tradition & Hubertus
Proud co-organiser and sponsor of Hubertus celebrations — the 10th edition, Hubertus 2022 and Hubertus 2024 — horse blessings, Saint Hubert masses and family equestrian festivals.
Firefighters & safety
We stood with our volunteer firefighters on the 140th anniversary of their brigade — funding celebrations, equipment and recognition for those who protect us every day.
Magic Garden & care
Through the Magic Garden Mission we support therapeutic, sensory-friendly spaces where children with special needs can play, learn and heal surrounded by nature.
