Why we exist

The mission of GH Hope & Help Foundation can be written in one sentence: to bring hope where it is missing, and turn it into concrete, dignified help for children, families and the communities of our region. Everything we do — every tournament, every gift, every van full of donations — flows from that single goal.

Every child deserves a childhood

Childhood is short and does not pause for hardship. A child from a family in crisis, a child growing up in a care home, a child who has just arrived in Poland after fleeing war — each of them still needs to play, run, win medals and receive gifts on St. Nicholas Day. That is why children and young people stand at the very centre of our mission. We organise football tournaments in Markowice, support young karate students in Racibórz, take children from the Samborowice home to Hubertus celebrations and answer their letters to Santa Claus at Christmas. None of this changes a family's bank balance. All of it changes how a child feels — seen, valued and included.

Families should not face crisis alone

Illness, disability, sudden poverty and war do not announce themselves politely. When they arrive, families often do not know where to turn. Our mission is to stand beside them — quickly, practically and without bureaucracy. Since 2022 that has meant steady help for Ukrainian families who found shelter in our region: food, hygiene products, clothing, school supplies and a friendly Polish institution that answers the phone in a difficult moment. It has also meant quieter, local help for families from Racibórz and nearby villages living through their own private crises.

Strong communities are built

A region is held together by its institutions: the village football club, the volunteer fire brigade, the parish, the school, the annual celebration. When they weaken, we are all poorer. So our mission includes strengthening the very fabric of local life. We co-organise tournaments with clubs such as LKS 07 Markowice. We stood beside the volunteer firefighters of Cyprzanów at their 140th anniversary. We support the equestrian Hubertus tradition, which for over a decade has brought thousands of people onto the streets of Racibórz in a shared celebration of local identity. These are not side projects — they are the mission itself.

Dignity first

One rule guides every decision we make: the people we help are not cases, statistics or photo opportunities — they are our neighbours. We bring help in person, with respect and warmth. A gift for a child is handed over with a smile and a kind word. Aid for a family arrives discreetly, without publicly exposing its hardship. That is why our volunteers matter as much as our money: a parcel handed over by a friendly person becomes an act of community, not an act of administration.

Transparency as a duty

Donors entrust us with something precious, and we treat that trust as a duty. The foundation operates in full compliance with Polish law: registered under KRS 0000848727, NIP 6392020264, REGON 386453969, with a public office at Janusza Korczaka 33, 47-400 Racibórz. We document our work publicly — dates, photos, results — so anyone can verify what a given project achieved. When we say a collection built something or supported someone, we show it. Accountability is not an option for a small foundation; it is a condition of survival.

Cooperation instead of competition

Needs are far greater than any single organisation, so we refuse to work alone. We fulfil our mission through partnership: with the Silesian Football Association for tournaments, with the City of Racibórz for public events, with clubs, schools, parishes and care homes in the field, and with companies whose sponsorship turns plans into reality. We treat other foundations not as rivals for donations, but as allies in the same fight. Where someone already helps, we join in; where no one helps, we begin.

Looking ahead

Our mission never ends. As long as there is a child without a team, a family without support or a community institution in trouble, GH Hope & Help Foundation will have work to do. We invite everyone who shares this mission — as a donor, volunteer, partner or simply a neighbour — to act together. Hope is not something you wait for. Hope is built, together, one act of help at a time.
