Our programs

Over the years several long-term programs have grown out of our projects. Each began as a single event or an urgent need, and today forms a permanent pillar of the foundation's work.

Youth Sports Program

Sport is the most reliable engine of childhood development a small community has. Our Youth Sports Program rests on partnerships with local clubs — above all LKS 07 Markowice, the village club that raised Olympic champion Hubert Kostka, and the Racibórz Kyokushin Karate Club, which we have supported continuously since 2022. Within the program we co-organise tournaments for the youngest age groups, provide prizes and equipment, and give children the chance to compete in a safe, joyful atmosphere. The St. Nicholas training tournament, the President's Cup at Arena Rafako and the Hubert Kostka Tournament — which in its third edition brought together eight teams, including Baník Ostrava from Czechia and the BVB Academy of Łukasz Piszczek — all run under this program. Beyond medals, its true goal is simple: that no child in our region sits on the bench just because their club could not afford a tournament.

Hubertus — Tradition & Community Program

Hubertus, the traditional feast of horsemen in honour of St. Hubert, is one of the most beautiful traditions of the Racibórz region. The foundation has supported the event for years: the 10th edition took place in Ostróg, Racibórz on 25 September 2021, in splendid weather, with beautifully prepared horses and children from the Samborowice home among the most engaged guests; and on 12 October 2024 the rhythmic thunder of hooves sounded again through the streets of Racibórz, recalling the tradition and spirit of the equestrian feast. Within the program we also honour other guardians of local heritage, including volunteer fire brigades — most recently the 140th anniversary of the unit in Cyprzanów, celebrated on 4 May 2024. The program's goal is to keep the community's shared rituals alive, so generations grow up knowing they belong to something older and larger than themselves.

Care for Samborowice

The children's home in Samborowice holds a special place in our hearts. The children who live there experience childhood without the safety net most of us take for granted, so the foundation makes sure they receive what every child deserves: trips, garden parties, gifts and attention. We took them to Hubertus, where they joined in with visible joy, and we answered their Christmas wishes like the wishes of every other child in our programs. Our lasting commitment under the program is to create a “Magic Garden” at the home — a dedicated green space for play and rest that the children can call their own. The collection for the garden continues, and every donation brings it closer to reality.

Aid for Ukrainian families

When war came to Ukraine in 2022, thousands of families crossed into Poland with almost nothing. Our foundation responded immediately and has helped ever since. Under the program we collect and deliver food, hygiene products, clothing, school supplies and everyday essentials, working with local partners to reach families who found shelter in the Racibórz region. Beyond material help, the program gives something equally important: a trusted, friendly institution that refugees can turn to in a foreign country. We intend to run this program for as long as it is needed.

Christmas Wishes Program

Every December children write letters to Santa Claus. Too many of them go unanswered — not because Santa does not care, but because families cannot afford gifts. Since 2021 the foundation has quietly played Santa's helper: we collect the letters, read them and do everything so every child finds the gift of their dreams. In December 2021 the program answered dozens of letters, with gifts delivered in person. It has become one of our most beloved traditions — among children and among the volunteers who get to play Santa's elves every year.
