10th Edition of Hubertus

On Saturday 25 September 2021 the 10th edition of Hubertus took place in Ostrog, Raciborz. It was a splendid event! The weather was kind, many participants attended, the horses looked beautiful — and our children from the home in Samborowice took part with great commitment. They will surely keep fond memories of that day for a long time.

Hubertus, the traditional feast of horsemen in honour of St. Hubert, is one of the most beautiful customs of our region. For the jubilee edition the grounds of Ostrog filled with riders, families and spectators in a shared celebration of tradition, horsemanship and community life. For the children from Samborowice the day offered something rare: a great, colourful feast at which they were honoured guests, not bystanders on the sidelines.

Above all we were delighted by such a positive reception of our work — from the community, the riders and the children themselves. It confirmed what we believe: supporting local tradition and supporting children in need are not separate tasks, but one and the same mission.

We would like to remind you that one of our campaigns at the time was the collection for the Magic Garden at the home in Samborowice — a green space for play and rest that the children can call their own. Every event like Hubertus brings that goal closer.
