Help for Ukrainian Families

When war broke out in Ukraine in February 2022, millions of people — mostly mothers with children — crossed into Poland with almost nothing. In our region, GH Hope & Help Foundation responded immediately.

Together with local partners and donors we organised collections and deliveries of food, hygiene products, clothing, blankets, school supplies and everyday essentials for Ukrainian families who found shelter in Raciborz and nearby. Our volunteers delivered the aid in person, door to door — because in a moment of uprooting, a friendly face means as much as the parcel itself.

Beyond material help, the foundation gave families something equally important: a trusted local institution that answers the phone, explains how everything works, and asks about further needs. Many families we helped arrived with children the same age as those in our sports programs — and helping them settle in became a natural extension of our mission.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank every donor, company and volunteer who played their part. The help continues for as long as it is needed, and the foundation's commitment to Ukrainian families remains one of its key programs.
