140th Anniversary of the Volunteer Fire Brigade

The 140th anniversary of the Volunteer Fire Brigade is a unique occasion — on 4 May 2024 it was celebrated in Cyprzanow, and GH Hope & Help Foundation proudly stood among the supporters of the ceremony.

Volunteer fire brigades are the quiet backbone of the Polish countryside. For 140 years the firefighters of Cyprzanow have stood ready to protect their neighbours — rushing to fires, accidents and floods, and serving at every village celebration. Most do it alongside jobs and family life, out of duty and love for their community.

The celebrations gathered past and present firefighters, local authorities, residents and delegations from neighbouring units. It was a day of gratitude, remembrance and pride — a chance for the whole region to thank people who expect nothing in return.
